Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Does VideoMD review all videos?
We review all of the featured videos for medical content to bring you accurate, helpful information.
  2. How do I find my doctors videos?
There are two places to find your own doctors videos. At the bottom of the homepage or on the search page, you can search by physician. If you do not see your doctor on this list, please contact them, and ask them to upload an informational video.
  3. How do I find the specific information I am looking for?
The best way to search for specific health information is on the search page, searching by disease/condition. If any doctor has uploaded a featured video, that disease, or condition will appear on the list. Once you choose a disease/condition, it is subcategorized by: overview, symptoms, diagnosis and testing, prevention, treatment & care, prognosis, and living & management.

Another good way to search is by typing the specific information on the Keyword search. All videos containing similar information will be included in your search.
  4. Can my doctor make a video just for me?
The information on VideoMD is for education only, and does not replace visiting your healthcare professional. VideoMD does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  5. If I put a comment on a doctors video, will he reply to me?
Again, the information on VideoMD is for educational purposes, and a doctor is not obligated to reply to a comment on a particular video.
  6. How often are videos updated?
We are constantly adding new videos. So if you do not find the information you are looking for, remember to check back in the near future. We are also frequently reviewing the featured videos, and any outdated videos are removed.
  7. Does VideoMD check the healthcare providers who are uploading videos?
We make every attempt to check the credentials and identity of healthcare providers. However, if you find a video in which the identity or credentials are in question, we ask you to notify us, so that we can investigate fully.
  8. Can I find a doctor on VideoMD?
VideoMD is not a physician referral service. However, if you search in your city, and like a video from a particular doctor, you can certainly call that physicians office and schedule an appointment on your own.
  9. If I want to make a video blog about my disease, but do not see that community, what should I do?
Please click on suggest a community, and we will add any community that is suggested.
  10. Is my video blog available to anyone to see?
Yes, any video uploaded to VideoMD is public information, so only upload information you feel comfortable making available on the internet.
  11. Does it cost anything to use VideoMD?
No, VideoMD is free for physicians to upload videos, and free for their patients to view them.

VideoMD does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
