VideoMD.com reaches milestone of 2500 patient education videos.
MIAMI, Dec. 30, 2008 — VideoMD.com, a new website that focuses on physician-generated video health information, is proud to announce that it has reached a milestone of 2500 patient education videos. VideoMD.com would like to thank all of the physicians, health care providers, and institutions that have helped to contribute to this milestone. “We are quickly building the most comprehensive library of health information videos on the web. All of our featured videos are reviewed by physicians for medical content. We want the health information consumer to know that our video library is up to date, and trustworthy. We have videos from your own trusted physicians, as well as some of the preeminent specialists in their field of medicine,” said Dean Heller, MD, President of VideoMD.com. In addition to providing a portal for all health information consumers, VideoMD.com is proud to be the home for all physicians to better educate their own patients. All health care providers can post educational videos for their own patients on their individual page of VideoMD.com. VideoMD’s goal is to help physicians use technology to better educate their patients, and to improve the physician-patient relationship. Neil Skop, MD, vice president of VideoMD, stated, “The response from the doctors and patients that have been using VideoMD.com has been tremendous. My own patients have told me that they feel an even stronger bond since viewing my educational videos on VideoMD.com. They feel that I am not only educating them better, but also helping to educate all patients.” VideoMD.com is looking forward to continuing to grow its library of physician-generated health videos. It invites all health information consumers to visit http://www.VideoMD.com to view the video library, as well as interact with their own comments, or even post videos in the video blogging area for patients and families.
