The receptionist making an appointment for a new patient can refer patients to one or more videos to give the patient a virtual tour of the office and meet the doctors and the staff before he arrives at the office. The site also can be used to educate patients about clinical topics (procedures and conditions) before or after the visit. Topics that you frequently discuss with patients one or more times a day or several times a week are the most appropriate. VideoMD is a free, user-friendly site where physicians can add their own videos.
