Free service on Web site helps physicians educate paients: VideoMD has launched a video-sharing web site, VideoMD.com, that assists physicians in educating patients by allowing them to upload educational videos to their own page of VideoMD. Patients find an educational video simply by searching for their physicians name. According to the company, all of the videos have been reviewed for medical content. VideoMD is striving to become the most comprehensive library of health videos from physicians and specialists in different fields of medicine. The site also allows patients and their families to create communities through a video blogging feature. "We think VideoMD can be auseful tool in strengthening the bond between patients and their own doctors," says Dean Heller, MD, who is president of VideoMD.
