The study did show that the high dose vitamins did lower homocysteine levels, which is associated with Alzheimer's disease. However, having the lower levels of homocysteine did not tranlate into slowing of the disease progression in Alzheimers. That is too bad that this study did not find vitamins helpful for Alzheimers disease. Obviously it would be so easy to treat patients if they were helpful. fortythenewthirty 13.5 years ago
