Joe Neely, DDS, discusses relieving the pain of a tooth abscess. Pain from a tooth abscess is from the inflammation of the infection causing pressure between the hard parts of the teeth. This is usually relieved by drilling a hole to the abscess, to help drain the infection and decrease the inflammation.
