Joe Neely, DDS, discusses the treatment of a toothache, including the treatment of the underlying problem, as well as the treatment of the symptoms. Toothache occurs from either exposure, or from pressure from infection. Opening up an abscess will decrease the pressure, and improve the tooth pain. For exposure, it may be from an exposed root that requires it to be covered.
